Supposedly not found here, per MI Flora. Leaves are three hearts touching at the tips.
Beech tree roots are its host. When the beech trees go, so will the beech drops, I suppose. Found on the backbone ridge of the island, inland from the North Shore.
Round and linear sundew are common on Bois Blanc. It would make sense, if the two are found together, crosses would also be found. This rare event happens from time to time. The cross, called Xanglica, is sterile usually. This picture compares round with Xanglica.

Not common on Bois Blanc. It took me two years to find this one. The horn is horizontal under an arched lip. There are two other more common species on Bois Blanc, the Horned Bladderwort and the Flat-leaved Bladderwort.
Called birdsfoot because the seed pods together are shaped like a birds foot.

It grows in flowing water. It supposedly is not on BBI, but here it is.
The bridge is just to the left.

Announcement: Fun Day 2010? Maybe not?
Posted: Conis @ Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:48 am
Cindy Riker has asked this post be moved to the front page.

As of right now, there are no plans to have a Fun Day in 2010. We do not have anyone that has volunteered to be the chairperson. Anyone interested contact Graham Whipple, Lani White, Cheryl Gahn or Cindy Riker....

Can anybody recommend a good weather box? I tried weather.com and it loads way too slow if it loads at all.
